GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AZ Owner Operator to join our team in the Line Haul Division. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting solid waste from transfer stations to various landfills and daily runs to Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport solid waste from transfer stations to various landfills, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and public safety.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage, and property damage as required.
  • Document and log driving/break periods in kilometers on daily trip reports and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of tractor maintenance and complete monthly reporting.
  • Retain copies of fuel, border toll receipts, and pick-up/delivery tickets to complete daily paperwork.
  • Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of Service, occupational health and safety, customs and immigration, and weights and dimensions.
  • Drive approximately 600-1100 km per day, with 10-14 hour runs, and return home nightly.
  • Utilize company-provided insurance, plates, and authorities.

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ license.
  • Ability to cross the US border in a CMV daily.
  • 3+ years of related AZ driving experience.
  • Ability to provide Driver's Abstract, CVOR Abstract, and criminal background check.
  • Great attitude and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
