Job Summary

GFL Environmental is seeking an experienced Roll Off Truck Driver to join our team in Aurora, ON. This is a specialty role that requires driving a regular roll off truck and, when necessary, pulling a trailer with a second bin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect waste and recyclables.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports, daily truck reports, and other documentation as required by supervisors.
  • Communicate vehicle mechanical issues to mechanics and supervisors promptly.
  • Operate trucks and equipment using prescribed techniques to prevent driver-induced mechanical failures.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions while performing duties.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle by cleaning the cab interior and exterior.
  • May be required to work overtime and rotate weekend shifts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Valid AZ license.
  • Clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
  • Background in Roll Off, Flat Deck, and/or Machine Hauling is considered suitable experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of on-road experience.
  • Effective communication skills with site staff, fluent in English.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Ability to follow direction and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
