Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Associate to join our team at Second Cup Avalon Mall. As a key member of our café team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, including hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, and snacks.
    • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the café area, kitchen, and dining area.
    • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
    • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or customer service role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
Work Environment

Our café is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of customers. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.
