Carpentry Specialist

BANWAIT WOODWORKS INC is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare building layouts and ensure compliance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient project completion.
- Train and instruct apprentices in carpentry techniques.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
