About the Role

The University of Ottawa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Instructor to deliver an engaging course on Portfolio Management.

In this role, you will guide students through essential concepts in modern finance, including portfolio theory, asset pricing models, and investment strategies. Your expertise will empower students to develop a strong understanding of financial markets and effective portfolio construction techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures on core finance topics, such as modern portfolio theory, the capital asset pricing model, arbitrage pricing theory, and efficient market hypothesis.
  • Facilitate interactive classroom discussions and provide students with opportunities to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including exams, assignments, and class participation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and support their academic growth.

Qualifications

  • Master's or MBA degree in Finance (PhD preferred) or a relevant professional designation.
  • Extensive knowledge of portfolio management principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in the financial industry, preferably in investment management or related fields.
