Job Summary: Stirling Chemicals Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of plant workers in their daily work
- Oversee the daily production schedule and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Coordinate plant work and issues with administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain necessary administrative records
- Review and approve production reports, analyze and control costs
- Test plant processes and ensure efficiency and safety
- Provide first-hand knowledge of production procedures and ensure staff training and accreditation
- Optimize the use of machinery and equipment
Requirements:
- Experience in a supervisory role in a chemical plant, preferably as a plant manager
- Post-secondary education in chemistry or a minimum of 5 years experience in a chemical plant
- Strong computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills
