Product Designer

Nasdaq is seeking a highly skilled Product Designer to join our team. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for researching, ideating, designing, testing, validating, and measuring solutions to meet client needs and business goals through new and existing applications.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with product personnel, business stakeholders, technology representatives, and various functions to define product strategy, goals, and objectives, and to create/refine application requirements to achieve the product plan.
- Create navigation structures and information designs, and construct prototypes, storyboards, and mockups to effectively communicate designs to product management and development.
- Work closely with technology representatives as products are being developed to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Strategize and help set the direction of the product roadmap based upon client needs and business goals.
- Consider how the digital experience supports and aligns with offline touchpoints that the client has with the company.
- Gather and synthesize client, competitor, and industry data to guide product design.
- Facilitate strategic, client-centric decisions made on product development.
- Create intuitive user experiences for desktop and mobile platforms using proven innovation methods, such as user personas, journey mapping, and Design Thinking.
- Create mockups and prototypes interaction designs, including user interaction models, information architectures, and navigation models, wireframes, and screen flows.
- Plan and execute research on mockups, prototypes, and existing interfaces, analyze study artifacts to create actionable findings, create recommendations for improvement, and iterate designs based on research recommendations.
- Facilitate design workshops, ideation sessions, and client co-creation sessions.
- Communicate and present user needs and design solutions to key stakeholders.
- Measure, monitor, and communicate a dashboard of key performance indicators related to product usage and client sentiment.
- Education: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Human Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5 or more years in a user experience design role.
- Knowledge of design fundamentals, including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based, and mobile applications, and knowledge of usability best practices.
- Special Qualifications: Proficiency with wireframing, prototyping, and/or interface design software, such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD, or Balsamiq, and general knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop.
- Certifications: Design-related professional certifications are helpful, but not required, such as Certified Usability Analyst, awarded by Human Factors International, or UX Certification, awarded by NN/g.
