About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned media leader to join our team at McCann Canada. As an Associate Media Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media plans that drive business results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with clients to understand their business objectives and develop tailored media strategies to achieve them.
  • Create and implement media plans that optimize channel mix and approach to solve business and communications goals.
  • Develop targeting strategies, including audience segmentation definition and implementation, to ensure maximum impact.
  • Stay ahead of the curve in the evolving media landscape, identifying new opportunities and crafting compelling points of view to inform our clients' media strategies.
  • Manage and steward budgets, as well as client and agency revenue projections and agency staffing plans, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate creative and compelling media ideas that drive business results.
  • Coach and develop direct reports through real-time feedback, training opportunities, and motivation to ensure their growth and success.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in integrated media planning and/or strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas through compelling storytelling.
  • Boldness in questioning and feedback, seeking to elevate the work through deepened partnerships.
  • Understanding of how media channels are most effective and ability to communicate trade-offs between strategies and tactics.
