Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective HSE policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and education to employees on HSE best practices and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain HSE metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • NCSO certification is required.
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
