Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary School Counsellor to join our team at School District #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). This is a full-time continuing position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional support to students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to students in academic, personal, and social matters
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and needs
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school counselling and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field
  • BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience working with students in a secondary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
