Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Solution Design to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs.

  • Solution Design: Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations for complex technology solutions.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the solution lead and interface with project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements and architectural directions.

  • Technical Consulting: Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years as a Solution or Technical Architect/Consultant with excellent knowledge of various types of technologies and deeply aware of new trends and new industry tech stacks.

  • Skills: Solid experience with a variety of technologies/frameworks including event-driven architecture, REST APIs, microservice architecture, CI/CD processes, DevOps pipelines, etc. Hands-on experience in Java, Golang, SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), App containerization would be a great asset.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.

  • Personal Qualities: Passionate about being on top of technology trends, continuously evolving your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
