Global Account Manager

Cogent Communications is a leading provider of high-speed Internet access and Ethernet transport services. As a Global Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and revenue expansion in a global sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in IP Transit, Content creators/hosters, Carriers/wholesalers, and Netcentric companies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers and expand existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive revenue growth.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
  • 3-8+ years of B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation, wholesale experience, and data transit and transport.
  • Proven track record of success in direct hunting, B2B sales roles, and quota achievement.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and a CRM.
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.
