Job Summary

The Global Revenue Accounting Manager is a critical role that oversees revenue recognition for complex customer contracts, collaborates cross-functionally to optimize processes, and drives improvements in revenue reporting and forecasting. This position reports directly to the Global Controller and has direct responsibility for monthly accounting, reconciliation, and reporting activities with a focus on driving improvement initiatives and across functional processes related to revenue and backlog reporting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP policies.
  2. Ensure revenue accounting for customer contracts, amendments, products, and services is aligned with ASC 606 and relevant accounting guidance, drive documentation, and implementation to harmonize globally with a focus on process improvement.
  3. Drive contract set-up process to ensure revenue-relevant activities are optimized cross-functionally to drive accurate and timely revenue recognition, invoicing, collections, and reporting; ensure master data set-up, billing documentation, and cross-entity intercompany transactions are established properly.
  4. Support commercial and legal teams in pricing and contracting language to facilitate operational and financial reporting activities.
  5. Develop and maintain SOX documentation related to revenue processes, including the design and documentation of key controls relevant to the revenue cycle.
  6. Actively support commercial business partners in monthly forecasting, including alignment on revenue recognition and accounting estimates and forecast to actual reporting and analyses, prepare analytics in support of accurate financial estimates.
  7. Support cross-functional projects as a finance business partner, including automation of revenue-related activities.
  8. Provide and interpret data for external auditors.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Typically requires 4 – 6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a CRO.
  3. 2-4 years Public accounting experience, CPA preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of ASC 606 US GAAP technical guidance and unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
  5. Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  6. Operational revenue accounting and/or technical revenue accounting experience.
  7. Strong data analysis skills.
  8. Ability to effectively lead cross-functional projects and deliverables.
  9. Excellent at workload prioritization, resource management, and project management.
  10.
