About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Embroidery Patternmaker to join our team at You Name It Custom Embroidery. As an Embroidery Patternmaker, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality embroidery patterns for our custom products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Draw, lay out, and cut master patterns of products, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Pattern Creation: Create pattern size variations from master patterns using computer-aided design (CAD) software or drafting instruments.
  • Sample Preparation: Lay out master patterns on fabric and cut sample patterns for quality control and approval.
  • Material Estimation: Estimate the amount of material required to make a product, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Design Analysis: Examine sketches, samples of articles, and specifications of designs to determine the number, size, and shape of pattern parts and assess the amount of cloth required.
  • Pattern Marking: Mark size, identification, style, and sewing instructions on sample patterns.
  • Pattern Detailing: Outline parts of patterns on paper and mark patterns to indicate details such as pocket placement, pleats, decorative stitching, or eyelets.
