Position Title: Production Technician

Location: Head Office | Calgary, Alberta

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to field locations as necessary

Employment Type: Full-time Contract or Full-time Salary Position

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Production Manager

Role Summary:

The Production Technician plays a crucial role in the oversight, development, and upkeep of measurement-related policies and software applications. This position is essential for ensuring accurate volumetric reporting and the effective management of operations measurement software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage asset setup, administration, and training for the FDC (Production Manager) system.
  2. Oversee the support and administration of the Intricate Sampling & Calibration-Prove modules.
  3. Facilitate the management of our measurement schematic program, including annual and monthly reviews.
  4. Assist in the management of Fuel, Flare & Vent software, ensuring proper asset setup and administration.
  5. Provide technical assistance in the development, implementation, and management of the EPAP program.
  6. Act as a liaison among production accounting, field operations, measurement, and engineering teams to ensure effective processes and communication for timely reporting.
  7. Coordinate with regulatory bodies for audits and assist in response facilitation as needed.
  8. Contribute to the creation of training materials across various disciplines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  2. Strong understanding of Western Canadian measurement regulations, including AER D17/D76/D07/D60.
  3. Proficient in operations systems such as FDC systems (preferably Production Manager), Petrinex, Zedi Access, Data Scavenger, SCADA, and Intricate.
  4. Experience with SCADA and Zedi is considered an asset.
  5. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and task prioritization.
  6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to integrity and professionalism.
  7. Self-motivated, capable of initiating projects and devising innovative solutions to business challenges.
  8. Proficient in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite.
  9. Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
