As a Retail Operations Leader, you will cultivate a team atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and positive relationships. In this position, you will be accountable for guiding and managing the team to meet store objectives, which encompass sales and profit targets, recruitment, performance oversight, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that your store meets company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Lead a well-organized business by adhering to company policies, procedures, loss prevention strategies, payroll management, reporting, and scheduling
- Recruit, develop, and train top-tier talent who are focused on sales, customer service, and fashion
- Set a standard for The Torrid Connection and ensure the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters positive customer interactions and loyalty
- Execute merchandising strategies while maintaining a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop
- Maintain effective and open communication with District Manager and headquarters partners
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of management experience in specialty/apparel retail with a proven track record of leading teams to success
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; a college degree is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while being dedicated to creating an exceptional customer experience
- Retail and fashion are constantly evolving, so adaptability and flexibility in response to various situations, challenges, job duties, and work schedules are crucial for your success
- A keen interest in fashion and staying updated on current trends
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to stand and walk around during scheduled shifts
- Capability to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, and other equipment
