About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Service Contractor to join our team at South West Ontario Veterinary Professional Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert care and management of livestock on our farms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Health and Welfare
    • Diagnose and address livestock health issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Develop and implement strategies to maintain optimal animal health and well-being.
  • Operational Management
    • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of livestock performance and health.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure effective team performance.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work activities and livestock performance.
    • Develop and implement systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field (e.g. animal science, agriculture, veterinary technology).
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
