About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Origin Active Lifestyle Communities. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment, preventing falls and injuries.
  • Nutrition and Hydration: Serve meals and snacks, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns and needs in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Accurately record resident information, including medical history, medication administration, and care plans.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Health Care Aide program or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and any other relevant certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
