Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality care to residents, adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, initiating remedial health measures as needed.
- Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support as required.
- Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Registration/eligibility with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks with urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- Developed problem-solving skills to address complex situations.
