In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in evaluating and modeling financial data, crafting business strategies, and delivering critical insights to facilitate informed decision-making across the organization. This position is ideal for a skilled finance professional eager to contribute significantly to a vibrant and expanding company.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for financial storytelling through data visualization, a commitment to supporting a fast-paced tech environment, proven analytical capabilities with a robust understanding of financial modeling, exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration, and strong organizational abilities to solve problems independently.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the parent company's Forecasting, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
- Develop financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management, utilizing visual storytelling to emphasize key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
- Innovate solutions for efficiencies and automation benefiting LodgeLink's products, clientele, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in constructing models for financial analysis of the organization's strategic projects and initiatives.
- Support month-end margin analysis processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to collect relevant financial data, ensuring accuracy, and create comprehensive financial models aimed at revenue enhancement and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate key performance indicators against planned objectives to aid management in data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against established targets, identifying risks and opportunities for enhancement.
- Contribute to the formulation of financial strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in the tech industry, regulatory changes, and their potential impact on profitability.
- Provide proactive business analysis and support for ad hoc requests as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CFA designation or MBA is preferred.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in an FP&A capacity with a solid grasp of financial and management reporting.
- Proficient in data management and dashboard modeling, with advanced Excel skills and experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
- Experience with ERP & planning software, including Oracle EPM, is advantageous.
- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills, with experience handling large datasets being a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages is beneficial.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect issues and proactively work towards resolutions with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings and analyses clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as needed.
