We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team at John Dick Landscaping and Lawn Care. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, maintaining gardens and lawns, and performing various tasks related to landscaping.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod, seeding, and planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintain gardens and lawns, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
- Cut grass and rake and collect refuse.
- Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
- Repair and maintain equipment, and write daily basic progress reports.
- Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, and tractor mowers.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Availability for shift or on-call work, and ability to work under pressure.
The Labourer will work outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet, damp, and hot environments. The work site will be noisy, with odors and dust present. The Labourer will be required to wear safety equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, and a safety vest.
