About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at il Negozio Nicastro. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and provide a positive dining experience.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, portion and wrap foods, and package take-out food.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate conventional ovens, deep fryers, and grills, and maintain equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment or equivalent.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work, and willingness to relocate for this position.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
