About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Program Supervisor to join our team at Safari Kid. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist in keeping records and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and reliability
