Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements for business clients, reviewing the contributions of Staff Accountants, and handling complex aspects of client files.
  • Ensuring high-quality standards by supervising Compilation and Review Engagements.
  • Examining Corporate, Personal, and Trust income tax returns along with other relevant tax documentation.
  • Identifying, investigating, and rectifying discrepancies in financial records and reports.
  • Providing recommendations based on thorough analysis of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Conducting technical research and formulating tax planning strategies for individuals and corporations.
  • Assisting in the implementation of corporate restructuring initiatives.
  • Managing the organization and prioritization of tasks for Staff Accountants, including overseeing engagement costs and billing processes.
  • Guiding and supporting the professional growth of Staff Accountants.
  • Maintaining a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are addressed and fostering the development of relationships and accounts.
  • Contributing innovative ideas and strategies to enhance operational processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • CA or CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public practice, focusing on the accounting and taxation requirements of private enterprises and their stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in compilation and review processes.
  • Proven experience in leading and supervising teams.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of applicable accounting frameworks and best practices in file documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Proficient in Caseware and Profile software.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
