We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visually inspecting tools and machinery.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs, including drywall and wood trim.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
  • Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Must be able to enter and locate work-related information using computers.
