Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and unload products and materials from trucks, containers, and other storage areas.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts, to move materials and products.
- Ship orders and pick orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Weigh materials and goods, and make labels as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Wrap and pack goods, and sort, crate, and stack materials for efficient storage and transportation.
- Install, lash, and secure goods for safe transportation.
- Store cargo and materials in a secure and organized manner.
- Transport and distribute materials and goods to various locations.
- Organize and maintain inventory, using computerized inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels.
As a Material Handler, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, and physically demanding conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use inventory control systems and other software applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with no degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- 1-6 months of experience in a related field, with a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly.
