About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Active Homes Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and maintain a culture of safety and wellness.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors Certificate.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
