Software Engineering Internship

Wayfair is seeking a talented Software Engineering Intern to join our team for a 12-week internship in Toronto, Canada. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on complex technical projects, gain a better understanding of our business, and develop your skills in software engineering.

About the Role

This internship is a paid, full-time program that will provide you with the opportunity to engage in social and community-building activities, including a calendar of intern events, formalized mentorship, skills-based training, and dialogue events with senior leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Work on individual and group projects focused on the full project life-cycle
  • Collaborate with business leaders and key stakeholders to brainstorm on how to solve challenges
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or higher degree with the expectation that degree will be obtained between December 2025 and August 2026
  • Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Proven track record of strong academic performance
  • Experience with full stack and/or mobile development
  • Knowledge and experience working with object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience or exposure to SQL, JavaScript, and HTML, Python, HTML/CSS
  • Interest in working with big data and machine learning
  • Autonomy and the opportunity to make a project or tool on your own
  • Strong communication skills
