Job Opportunity

The Salvation Army British Columbia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Grace Mansion. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping residents achieve their full potential through personal development, life skills, and social and spiritual activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor residents during assigned shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and provide support within the framework of Centre Policies & Procedures.
  • Maintain contact with community agencies and government organizations to coordinate activities and resources for the benefit of the Centre and residents.
  • Participate in emergency response situations, such as fire alarms or other crises.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (an asset).
  • Training or certification in Addictions and/or Mental Health issues (or willingness to be trained).
  • Certification in FOODSAFE Level 1 (or willingness to be trained).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

The Residential Support Worker will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for growth and development. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to work varied shift times, including overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
