About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at ADVANCE TAX AND ACCOUNTING SERVICES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
    • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
    • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
    • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Post journal entries
    • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
    • Prepare tax returns
    • Prepare trial balance of books
    • Reconcile accounts

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. They will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
