Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Auditor to join our team. As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct compliance audits on health service providers and owner-operated facilities to identify areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Schedule and coordinate audit tasks, monitor audit progress, and ensure audit completion in accordance with budget and agreed-upon timelines.
- Work with senior compliance auditors to investigate non-compliance with requirements, identify root causes, and involve management as needed.
- Assess risk, research best practices, and provide recommendations to improve existing processes and internal controls.
- Prepare audit reports and document findings, and present and communicate audit results to various levels of management as needed.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of processes and tools used by the internal audit department.
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce or a related field.
- Recent finance, risk, control, audit, or process-related experience is an asset or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Apply knowledge of financial analysis and auditing techniques.
- Use expertise and knowledge of auditing techniques and advanced capabilities in Excel to facilitate efficient audit procedures and reporting.
- Apply superior persuasion and conflict management skills to achieve support for carrying out procedures and communicating results.
- Use strong written communication abilities and organizational skills to prepare comprehensive documentation of procedures performed and related results.
- Use strong oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to communicate with and present to a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired objectives.
