The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department at the City of Ottawa is seeking a qualified Fitness Instructor - Aquafitness Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching specialized aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner.
Responsibilities- Teach aquafitness classes to participants of various ages and abilities
- Develop and implement safe and effective exercise programs
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for participants
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Completion of Grade 11 and current certifications from a recognized certifying organization
- Minimum of 6 months of experience or equivalent apprenticeship
- Aquafitness Instructor Specialty certification (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or other recognized certification)
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
- AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
- A competitive salary of $44.067 per hour
- A variety of shifts and locations to choose from
