About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Installation Specialist to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a key member of our flooring department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality installations of various floor coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation, including measuring and marking surfaces.
  • Install Floor Coverings: Measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.
  • Repair and Maintain: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings and prepare floors for installations.
  • Work in a Variety of Environments: Work in urban areas, various locations, and potentially in dusty or odorous environments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work requiring handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Strong judgement, organized, and a team player with the ability to distinguish between colours and good hand-eye co-ordination.
Work Environment

As a Floor Installation Specialist at Soni & Sons Construction, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of floor coverings and surfaces. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and high-quality installations.
