Produce Clerk Job Description

At Metro, we're committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. As a Produce Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our produce department is always fresh, in stock, and up to standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations on fresh produce.
  • Stock merchandise and create visually appealing displays to showcase our products.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our produce offerings, including seasonal items and specialty products.
  • Work collaboratively with the produce team to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
  • Customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
