**Production Slitting Supervisor**

**Hours**: Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM

**Summary**:
Production Slitting Supervisor to oversee our production operations and ensure that they deliver maximum quality in a profitable manner. Your duties will include leading and developing employees٫ organizing workflows and analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing processes. Responsible for operation of slitting machinery and performing periodic inspections.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives for the slitting team
- Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Perform verification of production output according to specifications
- Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers
- Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Consult new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
- Rewinding product according to customer specifications and internal standard operating procedures
- Visually inspecting labels for defects. Identify defects found in printed/laminated material before and during the slitting process.
- Setting up multiple slitter unit.
- Slitting down jobs.
- Responsible for on-the-job training of new employees on Slitting machines.
- Effectively manages employee work schedules and provide optimal use of manpower, machinery, and materials to meet the delivery schedules.
- Responsible for scheduling and controlling overtime.
- Maintains safe working conditions throughout the department by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions or acts and responsible for ensuring incident reports and associated corrective actions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Effectively manages machine schedules, shift production targets, PM.
- Manage pre-cutting of cores for the scheduled jobs.
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.
- Ensure that finished rolls are properly labeled and documented, and packed according to specification.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other related work as required

**General Qualifications**:

- Proven knowledge of slitting operations and processes
- Experience with D365 and ERP Software is an asset
- 2+ years' experience of working on a Production Supervisor or other similar position
- Profound experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Strong organizational and leadership skills٫ together with a results-driven approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver
- Good practical experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate slitting machinery
- Accuracy in tasks
- Able to receive and give directions to teammates
- Good team skills

- Ensure the training of other operators on essential job functions
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a safe and orderly work
environment
- Be able to lift, push/pull 45 lbs.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods

**Experience**:

- plastics extrusion: 1 year (preferred)
