Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including establishing and maintaining strong relationships to maximize retention.
  • Provide proactive risk management advice to clients, analyzing their exposure and developing tailored solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the portfolio, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify new business opportunities through research and engagement with clients and prospects.
  • Place new business, renewals, and endorsements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Review policy documents and other materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in industry events and targeted public relations activities.
  • Maintain extensive relationships with the market.
  • Supervise the preparation of subscription requests and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Keep lists of expirations, registers, and police files up to date to ensure they are organized and current.
  • Request information, endorsements, or policy documents from insurers and track their progress.
  • Create suspensions and track outstanding questions with subscribers, marketing specialists, and clients.
  • Establish procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activities.
  • Monitor and track outstanding client debts.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in insurance brokerage.
  • Knowledge of the sports industry insurance.
  • University degree (preferably in commerce or finance).
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
