We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Broker to join our Sports team in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including establishing and maintaining strong relationships to maximize retention.
- Provide proactive risk management advice to clients, analyzing their exposure and developing tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the portfolio, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify new business opportunities through research and engagement with clients and prospects.
- Place new business, renewals, and endorsements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review policy documents and other materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in industry events and targeted public relations activities.
- Maintain extensive relationships with the market.
- Supervise the preparation of subscription requests and maintain relevant documentation.
- Keep lists of expirations, registers, and police files up to date to ensure they are organized and current.
- Request information, endorsements, or policy documents from insurers and track their progress.
- Create suspensions and track outstanding questions with subscribers, marketing specialists, and clients.
- Establish procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activities.
- Monitor and track outstanding client debts.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in insurance brokerage.
- Knowledge of the sports industry insurance.
- University degree (preferably in commerce or finance).
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
