About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team and play a key role in elevating the employee experience and aligning our HR initiatives with business objectives. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that drive business results and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement people strategies that align with business objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  2. Design and deliver HR programs that meet the needs of our employees and support the achievement of business goals.
  3. Provide thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  4. Administer day-to-day HR functions, including HRIS inputs, payroll, and documentation.
  5. Stay up-to-date with off-cycle payroll payments and ensure timely information and education for all levels of the company on HR issues.
  6. Coach and partner with leaders on performance management and employee development goals.
  7. Maintain adherence to company policies, industry standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Facilitate learning and development programs for employees to achieve continuous improvement objectives.
  9. Provide HR expertise in areas such as feedback, employee relations, development, and coaching.
  10. Promote a culture of employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion to ensure a healthy workplace.
  11. Help build a culture of trust by fostering effective communication between functional and geographically diverse departments.
  12. Plan and execute seasonal events, considering budgets, vendor management, and event objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Legislation and safe workplace best practices in various provinces and states.
  • Experience dealing with workplace compensation issues.
  • Previous experience in using and administering HRIS, with bonus points for experience using Humi.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience using MS Office applications.
  • Located in Burnaby or Saskatoon.
  • Ability to travel within North America to attend events, visit work sites, and other business needs as required.
