Adjunct Professor of Graduate Writing

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly qualified sessional faculty member to teach one or two sections of EDUC 5990: Writing in a Graduate Context in Summer 2024.
Key Responsibilities- Teach one or two sections of EDUC 5990: Writing in a Graduate Context
- Develop and implement a course syllabus that aligns with the program's learning objectives
- Provide instruction and feedback to students on their writing skills
- Assess student learning and progress throughout the course
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the program
- PhD or EdD in Education or a related field
- Minimum of one degree in education
- Expertise in K-12 education
- Three years of full-time or equivalent teaching experience in K-12 settings
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods
- Proven skills in building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect
- Teaching excellence, including developing culturally appropriate curricula
- Experience teaching graduate-level courses
- Publication record in education or a related field
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
