Job Summary

Altair is seeking a skilled Test Engineer General to join our team in Waterloo, ON. This is a contract position that requires creating and designing a web portal for alpha & beta test programs run by the UAT team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement new websites and/or enhance existing sites to meet institute or sponsor requirements by writing new programming code and/or adapting existing website software and graphics packages.
  • Provide technical support to a broad user base to alleviate issues with any websites or applications that the group has developed and actively maintains.
  • Work within a cross-functional team to lay out and maintain content for all sites.
  • Maintain existing websites and applications by updating code and modules, developing new functionality, and performing other maintenance as needed.
  • Triage and work with the analytics team in managing the data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ Years of experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and PostgreSQL.
  • 6+ Years experience working with Python/Django for working with backend services.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals with experience creating with ReactJS, Angular, and Vue.js.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with database design and management for SQL, PostgreSQL databases.
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills.
  • Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Experience in agile or scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience using JIRA, Microsoft Office Applications (particularly Excel).
