Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

At Lactalis Canada, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide maintenance direction and promote excellence in all maintenance activities
  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate planning, priority setting, and follow-up of maintenance activities to facilitate optimum plant performance
  • Work with production supervisors, maintenance planners, and maintenance buyers to optimize maintenance resources utilization
  • Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by being a role model in safety and demonstrating due diligence
  • Monitor and ensure contractors adhere to facility procedures and achieve contractual requirements
Requirements:
  • Three to five years' experience as a plant maintenance supervisor, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Three years related experience in the Electrical & Controls and/or Mechanical field
  • Experience in implementing preventative maintenance systems and managing maintenance budgets
  • Strong understanding of process systems, particularly in relation to dairy or food manufacturing facilities
  • Strong knowledge of process systems, high-speed packaging, and food plant experience
  • Proven leadership, troubleshooting, and team building skills
  • SAP or CMMS (Maximo) maintenance system skills and experience
