Maintenance Manager

At Woodhall Park Community, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the maintenance department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of maintenance staff to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and scheduled servicing operations.
  • Determine the scope of work, obtain cost estimates, and refer specialized work to outside contractors.
  • Lead the recruitment, orientation, and performance management process for maintenance team members.
  • Manage and monitor expenditures, explain monthly variances, and work with the Executive Director to identify corrective action.
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary diploma in a field such as building systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years' management experience.
  • Health and Safety Certification (level 1 and 2).
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, computerized building management systems, electrical systems distribution, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and emergency diesel generator operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret building prints and drawings.
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants) and a Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • WHMIS training.
  • Experience in a care community and/or retirement residence.
