About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at GQ Technology Trading Inc. as a key member of our technical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair

Diagnose and locate faults in telecommunications equipment, and perform adjustments, replacements, or repairs as necessary.

System Installation and Testing

Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware, ensuring optimal system performance.

Network Troubleshooting

Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software to resolve transmission faults.

Documentation and Reporting

Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports, detailing findings and recommendations.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in telephone system, trunking system, computerized testing system, and telecommunication system.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Experience with amplifiers, converters, and splitters.

Work Environment and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Personal Suitability

Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork abilities.
