Job Overview

Calian Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team on a part-time basis. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, providing high-quality medical care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide general orthopaedic consultation services to CAF members on a referral basis, utilizing your expertise to diagnose and treat a range of orthopaedic conditions.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Perform surgical procedures, including preoperative and postoperative care, and coordinate operations with anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care.
  4. Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  5. Practice in accordance with the Canadian Armed Forces' Spectrum of Care, Drug Benefit List, and Code of Ethics, upholding the highest standards of medical professionalism.
Requirements
  1. Current licensure and good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  2. Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
  3. Full hospital privileges at an acute care medical facility to perform surgery and manage complications.
  4. Eligibility for Government security clearance at Reliability level.
