The Government of the Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to join their team. As a key member of the Finance department, this role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of transaction processing in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing seasoned advice to Accounting Clerks on complex transactions
- Processing unique and specialized transactions related to client department specific program needs
- Reconciling complex or time-sensitive transactions
- Providing daily support and first-level escalation for transactions of an unusual nature
To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:
- Grade 12 and post-secondary course financial/accounting courses
- 2 years of directly related full-cycle financial transaction processing experience
- 1 year of directly related payroll transaction processing experience
