We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to enhance our team. This role is pivotal as we expand our manufacturing capabilities, and the successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Leader.

Relocation assistance is provided for candidates moving from other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor a team of five engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Offer technical assistance to Production, Quality Assurance, and Product Development Engineering teams.
  • Support and maintain Manufacturing Engineering functions on production lines.
  • Establish timelines for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to achieve project goals.
  • Advise the team on informed technical decisions, ensuring they remain current with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement verification and validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, FMEA) for product equipment, processes, and designs. Review and revise internal documentation such as work instructions and travelers.
  • Ensure adherence to international standards including ISO13485, Canadian Medical Device Regulations, FDA Quality System Regulations, and the Medical Device Directive.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • P.Eng designation is essential.
  • A minimum of three years in a leadership or managerial position within a manufacturing context.
  • At least seven years of experience in a manufacturing or equivalent engineering environment.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
