About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at GOOD KARMA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in preparing and serving food to our customers
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas
    • Empty trash and recyclables
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Restock supplies as needed
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues
Requirements
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Personal Qualities
    • Reliability and punctuality
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours of work per week. Public transportation is available.
