Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Honest Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes are washed and sanitized, and supporting our culinary team in preparing and serving food to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans, and other kitchen equipment
  • Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • Assist with food preparation and cooking
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors
  • Support the culinary team in preparing and serving food to customers
  • Assist with taking orders and serving customers at the counter or buffet
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions
Working Conditions

The kitchen can be a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot kitchen environment. You must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
