Job Summary

Actims is seeking a skilled Boilermaker Specialist to join our team. As a Boilermaker Specialist, you will be responsible for building, erecting, repairing, testing, and maintaining all types of boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Develop layouts and plans for work to be done, layout plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal, and locate and mark bending and cutting lines.
  • Metalworking: Shape metal using metalworking machines such as shears and drill presses, cut metal plate and brackets using an oxy-fuel torch, and chip and grind parts to shape for fitting together.
  • Welding and Assembly: Fit and tack weld parts together using electric arc welding equipment.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
Working Conditions

As a Boilermaker Specialist, you will work on construction sites, often in cramped and dirty conditions, with exposure to chemical vapors, wetness, or high noise levels. The normal workweek is 40 hours, but some overtime may be required.

Requirements
  • Experience: Journeyman boilermaker with a strong background in metalworking and welding.
  • Skills: Proficiency in metalworking machines, oxy-fuel torches, and electric arc welding equipment.
