Job Title: Functional QA Tester

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional QA Tester to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test assets, adhering to software engineering best practices, and driving towards Continuous Integration and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test assets
  • Adhere to software engineering best practices and standards
  • Drive towards Continuous Integration and Continuous Improvement
  • Understand and apply Test Driven Design (TDD) concepts
  • Support Functional Testing of Health & Welfare administration platform
  • Understand test requirements and design effective test scripts
  • Execute test cases as part of functional and regression testing
  • Report and track defects through Quality Center/JIRA

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Functional and Manual Testing
  • 5+ years of experience with Developer-Tools and Automation-ITSM UI Development
  • 5+ years of experience with ITSM Tool-JavaScript
  • 1-3+ years of experience with Java/JEE
  • 1-3+ years of experience with Core Java
  • 1-3+ years of experience with Automation Testing-HP UFT/QTP or Selenium Tools
