Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our Client Financial Agreements team at iA Financial Group. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for handling various accounting operations and financial transactions for our group insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce monthly analysis data extractions for client reports
  • Produce monthly accounting reconciliations
  • Participate in month-end and year-end work
  • Participate in invoice production and deposits for administrative services only (ASO) plans
  • Make deposits and withdrawals for clients
  • Produce monthly accounting and adjustment entries
  • Maintain information in our databases
  • Help improve task-related processes and their documentation
Requirements
  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in accounting and management, administration, insurance and financial services or any other related field (bachelor's degree is an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Access)
  • Organization skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work under pressure (meet deadlines) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for daily interaction with internal and external French- and English-speaking partners and clients
  • Knowledge of group insurance (asset)
